Two well known and respected speakers will share Ideas on Rainwater Capture, Cleanup, Reuse & Much More . . .
- Rex Frankel, LACreekParks.org will discuss Creating Habitat, Park Connectivity, and Reconnecting Ballona Creek to Griffith Park.
- Melanie Winter, The River Project will discuss Reducing Our Dependence on Imported Water, and the Importance of Doing Critical Infrastructure Upgrades.
At our January meeting, the audience said they would like to know what efforts were being taken to clean rainwater runoff before it goes into Ballona Creek and our Ocean. We predict you will get answers. A lively question and answer session will follow.

Note: As our webmaster and I created this fly-over, I had a new appreciation for the nexus between Marina del Rey and the Ballona Wetlands. Wildlife that inhabit both areas fly back and forth foraging, feeding, resting, and giving birth to their young. Tall Trees that are threatened by chainsaws play a big role in this chain of life.
